Noe Martinez Jr., who graduated from Harlingen High School South in May, earned his Eagle Scout rank by making improvements to Hugh Ramsey Nature Park in Harlingen. He will be attending Texas A&M University – Kingsville Honors College in the fall. He will study physics and plans to major in aerospace engineering

Eagle Scout is the highest advancement rank in Boy Scouting. In 2013, about 56,841 Scouts — or about six percent of all Boy Scouts — earned the Eagle Scout rank. Cañon City High School senior Walter Potter soon will be a member of the elite group
